Notice – Brightspeed Deployment Work
Notice:
Brightspeed Fiber Optic cable will be installed UNDERGROUND within the road right of way on the following roads: Vicki Circle, Robin Circle, White Rd, Spring Creek Circle, White Run Lane and Highland Ave. Rd. The cable will likely be installed about 10’ from pavement, but the Road Right of Way is actually 25’-30’ from centerline of the road. This will be installed via underground directional boring and some digging. Sod should be replaced if it is necessary to remove it.
Also, Brightspeed will be installing AERIAL Fiber Optic cable on the following roads: White Church Rd, Highland Ave Rd, and Clapsaddle Rd. This will be installed on existing utility poles. However, you may experience some utility trucks and workers in the area while it is being installed.
Per Brightspeed Fiber Deployment Construction Impact:
Why are there crews and workers on my property?
Our construction teams work within the areas permitted by local and state permits and rights-of-way, and normally do not need to access our customers’ property for fiber construction. We do need to access customer property to install the necessary drop line to the residence.
Why are there flags, spray paint and piles of dirt around my home or in my neighborhood?
The contracted crews may need to do underground work. In those cases, they have alerted 811 to locate all underground utilities and mitigate potential disruptions to services. You may see flags and spray paint to indicate where underground utilities are located. Additionally, there may be piles of dirt as crews dig to install Brightspeed Fiber Internet.
What do I do if your crew cuts a utility line, or if I am experiencing utility disruptions?
If you experience utility disruptions, please contact your utility provider immediately. If you have any concerns about the Brightspeed Fiber Internet installation, please go to http://www.brightspeed.com/FiberBuild and click on Contact Us in the top menu.
How long will this Brightspeed Fiber Internet installation take?
It varies by community. Aerial installation of fiber cable lines is less intrusive and will move more quickly. An underground installation can move as quickly as well. Weather and other variables can impact the installation. We plan to finish the installation of Brightspeed Fiber Internet within months.
