The Pennsylvania Right to Know Law ensures that government agencies operate with transparency and accountability. It grants citizens the right to access public records, promoting openness and allowing residents to stay informed about government actions. This law is crucial because it fosters trust between the public and local government, ensuring that decisions are made in the best interest of the community. By exercising your right to know, you help uphold the principles of democracy and ensure that government actions are conducted fairly and responsibly.
In accordance with Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know Law, Mt. Joy Township is committed to transparency by providing public access to records in compliance with the law. Citizens have the right to inspect and obtain copies of public records, subject to exceptions outlined by the law.
