The Board of Supervisors is supported by a variety of boards and committees that help fulfill its legal and legislative responsibilities. These groups are established to address specific Township matters and to comply with Pennsylvania law. Each board and committee has a unique role and is made up of dedicated residents of Mount Joy Township. Current Openings —

Road Crew Worker

TERMS: Full-time (40 Hours) roadcrew worker

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Under the general and close supervision, the employee will perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and construction of roads, truck and equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, painting, landscape, tree trimming, park maintenance, and other public works functions.

This employee will also support other township projects and events, as needed, or directed by the Roadmaster or Road Advisory Committee. This employee will also support other township projects and events, as needed, or directed by the Roadmaster, Board of Supervisors or Road Advisory Committee.

REQUIREMENT:  A valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, with an uncited driving record for a minimum of two years. A Class B(commercial) PA driver’s license or a willingness to obtain a commercial Class B license within a year of date of hire.   A drug test will be required.  The ability to lift 50lbs. The ability to work in all weather conditions.

We need articles of interest about the township for our quarterly newsletter. Many topics to pick from, history, upcoming events, informational. Short or long that residents would find informational.

Teacher or teacher’s aide at Mud College Schoolhouse

If you have a love for history and a passion for teaching (no formal experience necessary!), consider volunteering for the Living History program. You’ll be working alongside classroom teachers and can choose to participate in either the fall or spring sessions.

Auditor

There is currently one vacancy for a two-year term. The Pennsylvania Second Class Township Code requires the election of a 3-member Board of Auditors, each serving 6-year terms. The primary function of the Board of Auditors is to set compensation for the current year’s township supervisors employed by the township in staff positions.
