ROADMASTER: 

The Roadmaster is a full-time leadership position.  They will supervise and direct the work of road crew and operators while performing all aspects of the maintenance and construction of roads, snow and ice control and storm response.  This employee will oversee facilities, landscape, tree trimming, maintenance, and other public infrastructure related functions. This is a working roadmaster position therefore snow plowing and assistance in tasks and other public work job duties is required.

The Roadmaster must also possess knowledge of the operation of all trucks, heavy equipment, tractors, etc. that are owned by the Township, manage truck and equipment maintenance, and will be responsible for keeping records and reporting on them as needed.

This person will be able to estimate road work, equipment purchase and construction costs for budgetary use and be able to calculate accurate quantities and materials for the use in the bidding of projects.  Be able to monitor and report on projects completed by third party vendors and contractors.

Develop and maintain records of all equipment and its history, and provide reports on a monthly and an as needed basis.  Prepare and send out reports on activities, concerns, and up-coming projects on a weekly, monthly and as-needed basis.

Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.  Must have or be willing to get a Commercial Drivers License (CDL)

Attendance at evening events and Board(s) meetings as required

ROAD CREW, (FT and PT positions available)

The selected person(s) will perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and construction of roads, snow and ice control, truck and equipment maintenance, storm preparedness, facility maintenance, landscape, tree trimming, park maintenance, and other public works functions. May also work with and provide direction to less experienced, or seasonal workers when related work is required. 

This employee will also support other township projects and events, as needed, or directed by the Roadmaster or Board of Supervisors. 

Must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, with an uncited driving record for a minimum of two years. Must have a Class B (Commercial) PA driver’s license.  Must have or be willing to get a Commercial Drivers License (CDL)

Position may require evening and weekend hours, or to be on-call.  Attendance at township events and Board(s) meetings only on an as-needed basis
