Public Open House Scheduled for the Mount Joy Township Comprehensive Plan and 45-Day Public Comment Period
Gettysburg, PA: Mount Joy Township is inviting residents to attend a public open house on Tuesday, October 13 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Mount Joy Township Municipal Building – 902 Hoffman Home Rd, Gettysburg, PA, 17325. This event will give attendees an opportunity to provide feedback for the updated Mount Joy Township Comprehensive Plan – a guide for managing short-term and long-term land use changes, infrastructure improvements, land preservation, and multi-modal transportation priorities.
Attendees will have the opportunity to review the draft plan, action strategies, and future land use map and share their opinions, interests, and concerns about the proposed content.
On October 16, 2026, pursuant to the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), the draft Mount Joy Comprehensive Plan will begin the required 45-day public comment period. Upon completion of the 45-day period, the Board of Supervisors will consider adoption of the plan.
“Public input received will help to finalize plan content and advance future investments on parks, roads, and economic development opportunities,” said Christine Demas, Board of Supervisors Chair.
